Councillor Manuel Abellan thanks residents during first week of new bin service

Waste changesCouncillor Manuel Abellan, Vice-Chair, Environment & Neighbourhood Committee, said: “I thank residents for their patience and understanding this first week of the new recycling and rubbish service. We are collecting new bins and food waste and it will take a bit of time for the service to get completely up to speed. Residents can collect extra green recycling boxes from Sutton B&Q this Saturday to help recycle even more. The new service will help us save money and improve our environment so I’m pleased to see it up and running. For more information about extra green bins and how to make the most of the new service visit:

High demand means there may be a little delay before we can deliver one to your home. You can pick them up for free this coming Saturday 8 April from the B&Q car park (lower level) in Sutton town centre.  Pop along between 10am-4pm – please bring proof of your address.
