The Halloween half-term is set to be a fun-filled break from school for little monsters in Sutton with a great range of events taking place at the Sutton Ecology Centre.

The popular Carshalton venue will host two special Halloween Trail events on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 October based around the celebrated children’s book The BFG by beloved author Roald Dahl. Children aged three and over are invited to help the BFG find his missing dream jars as they follow the spooky trail and make a super dream-catcher to take home.

The Halloween Trail events take place between 11am and 2pm and cost £4 per child. Booking is not necessary – just turn up on the day and be ready for some fun! If you have any questions please mail

Then on Thursday 27 October it’s a double-header of Forest School Family Fun sessions – in the morning for intrepid explorers aged five to ten, and in the afternoon for smaller saplings aged under five. Booking will be necessary for these events – to get prices and tickets mail

Cllr Jill Whitehead, Chair of the Environment and Neighbourhood Committee at Sutton Council, said:

“The great events taking place at the Sutton Ecology Centre are sure to keep children entertained during the half-term break. I’m really pleased to see that parents in Sutton have a wide range of exciting activities available to help ease the strain of their children being off school!”
