New programme aims to help Sutton residents back into work

The new provider of a £14m programme that aims to help people with disabilities or health conditions and the long-term unemployed back into work has been announced.

Reed in Partnership is to deliver the new programme in Sutton, Croydon, Kingston, Merton and Richmond on behalf of all five boroughs after the budget was devolved from Whitehall.

The total budget for the programme also includes match funding from the European Social Fund.

Reed in Partnership will begin delivering the programme in March 2018 and it will run until 2023.

Residents will benefit from one to one advice and support from a case worker will be offered to residents. The support will be integrated with existing local services offered by Sutton council and other local partners, with additional matters such as basic skills, training, health, housing and English for speakers of other languages.
