Our TV advert: Your questions answered

We are using a Sky TV advert to promote the new recycling service.

This advert is being shown on Sky TV set top boxes across the borough. It is not being shown outside Sutton. It is broadcast using a new Sky TV service called AdSmart.

The total production and broadcast costs for the advert are just over £6,000. This is being paid for by the South London Waste Partnership and Veolia as part of the campaign to promote the new recycling service.

The advert will be played seven times on over 15,000 Sky set top boxes in Sutton, giving over 105,000 guaranteed plays. This equates to just over 5 pence per play.

The campaign supporting the introduction of the new recycling service used a range of direct mailing, outdoor, online and social advertising. The comparative cost of this Sky TV advert is good value for money given the low cost per play.
